I am an experienced and registered Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, offering therapy tailored to you.

I have worked within the Charity, NHS and private sectors as a psychotherapist, counsellor and assessor as well as part of multi-discipline groups.

I have experience in working with individuals and with couples,

for a shorter or time-limited time, as well as long-term or

open-ended, and have worked with late teens, midlife and older

adults.

I have experience in EAP programmes and in working via video calls online.

All work is confidential and regulated by a strict professional code of ethics and practice.

I hold a Masters degree in Psychoanalytic Studies, Post-Graduate training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Psycho-Dynamic Studies by Surrey University & WPF and an Advanced Diploma in Psycho-Dynamic Counselling. Certificate in Couples Counselling- Accred by ISPC . I underwent in-depth training in individual psychotherapy at WPF Therapy.

I have many years of experience in private practice, as well as having worked as a clinical assessor at the WPF Therapy in London Bridge and Harrow. Some years on from qualifying, I worked as an honorary couple therapist in the Couples Unit, Adult Directorate, at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust. More recently, as a psychotherapist at St Mark's Hospital, Psychological Medicine Unit. I have extensive experience in working with people in many diverse walks of life.

At present, my work is in private practice with individuals, couples and as a supervisor.

I work mainly in English but also have an understanding of Portuguese or French for those who may prefer to speak these.

Registered and accredited as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist with UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy), and FPC, I follow these professional bodies clear ethical guidelines, which can be accessed on their websites. They ensure that work is carried out within strict codes of practice and ethics.

I attend Continuous Professional Development events regularly, have regular clinical supervision and have undergone personal psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

Whilst working in most areas of psychological and emotional health, I have a particular interest and have gained a master's degree in Psychoanalytic Studies, specialising in pre- and postnatal issues, as well as intercultural aspects. I am particularly interested in the relationships between psyche and soma, as well as in intercultural and international dynamics.
